ಭಾರತದ 2 ನೇ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಾವುಟವನ್ನು ನರಗುಂದ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ಜನೇವರಿ 26 ಹಾಗೂ ಆಗಷ್ಟ 15ರಂದು ಹಾರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು
ನರಗುಂದ ಪುರಸಭೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ :
ನರಗುಂದ ನಗರವು ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ-ಸೊಲ್ಲಾಪೂರ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. 2011 ರ ಜನಗಣತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ 36318 ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. 1857 ರ ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬ ದಂಗೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಶಾಸನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿರಿಯಾ ನರಗುಂದ ಎಂದು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿತಗೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈಗಿನ ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ಕಟ್ಟಡವು ಹಿಂದೆ ರಾಜನ ಅರಮೆನಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದರ ಒಂದು ಕೊಠಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜನ ಖಡ್ಗವು ಇದೆ. ನರಗುಂದ ಗುಡ್ಡವು ನೋಡಲು ಮಲಗಿದ ಸಿಂಹದಂತೆ ಇದ್ದು ನಗರ ಅಂದವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆ. ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಿದ್ದೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಳಿಜಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೃಹತ್ತಾದ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯವಿದ್ದು ದ್ರಾವೀಡ ಶೈಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ. ಪುರಸಭೆಯ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಬಾಬಾಸಾಹೇಬನ ಎದೆಮಟ್ಟದ ಆಧುನಿಕ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆ ಇದೆ. ಮಲಪ್ರಭಾ ಕಾಲುವೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ಭಾಗದ ಜಮೀನುಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರುಣಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ರೈತರು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಾಶಸ್ತ್ಯ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಮೆಕ್ಕೆಜೋಳ ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿ, ಜೋಳ, ಈರುಳ್ಳಿ, ಹೆಸರು ಮುಂತಾದ ಬೆಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ
Information about Naragund :
Naragund town situated on Hubli-Sollapur National highway. Naragunda Town Municipal Council has been established on 1841. It has been total area of 19.02Sq.km and contain 23 wards of total population 36318 as per 2011 Census. The name Naragunda means hills of jackals. It was a beautifull hill station looks like sleeping Lion at its one side view.The town has got a very firtile land and it is suitable for growing wheat, chilli, onion, cotton, barlie jower etc.
Geography :
Nargund is located at 15°43′N 75°23′E / 15.72°N 75.38°E / 15.72; 75.38. It
has an average elevation of 605 metres (1984 feet).
Demographics :
As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Nargund had a population of 32,548. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Nargund has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 67%, and female literacy is 45%. In Nargund, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ : ನರಗುಂದ ಪುರಸಭೆಯ 1990 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಈವರೆಗೆ ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗಧಿತ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಕುಂದುಕೊರತೆ ವಿಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಇದರ ಸದುಪಯೋಗ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ನರಗುಂದ ಪುರಸಭೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ, ಆಸ್ತಿ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇದರ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು.
